Web Hosting: Tom King
|
Tom King began generously hosting the Toronto Comic Jam website in 1999, created the first site, and designed the frameset for the current site. He laboriously scanned over 20 of the jam books that they may be available in PDF format for the web, and created over 20 slide-show Trailers for the books, choosing a favourite jam page and showing it panel by panel. At about 4 hours scanning per book (at least), that's over 800 hours for the books alone, since 1999. Tom also created the animated shorts The Truth About Ruth and The Anarchist as well as the bizzare short film called Drinking Dolls depicting a collection of 20th Century novelty drinking toys. Tom also worked on the original animated Heavy Metal movie, and currently works as a computer programmer.
